ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Leadership & Supervision

My leadership experience spans independent schools, boarding schools, and multidisciplinary educational organizations. At Marianapolis, I supervised faculty serving as advisors and residential educators while leading student and residential life. Today, as Interim Director of ETX, I lead professionals across education, research, technology, finance, and operations, setting expectations while giving people room to exercise their expertise and judgment.

Faculty Development & Evaluation

My approach to professional growth begins with the belief that educators improve through reflection, actionable feedback, data collection, and opportunities to learn from one another. Through Infiniscope, I helped design professional learning for thousands of educators that moved beyond tool training to pedagogy, classroom application, and reflection. As a supervisor, I have paired candid feedback with mentoring, expanded responsibility, and opportunities for advancement, as well as more formally through the official ASU quarterly process.

Curriculum and Academic Program

I help educational programs build distinction by connecting strong ideas with broader communities of educators, researchers, and institutional partners. Through NASA Infiniscope, NSF STEM Futures, and REAL CHEM, our teams developed innovative approaches to teaching, studied their effectiveness, and shared what we learned nationally through research, professional learning, publications, and conference presentations.

Faculty Hiring, Personnel, and Workload

At Marianapolis, I recruited faculty whose responsibilities extended across teaching, advising, athletics, and residential life, giving me firsthand experience with the interconnected demands of boarding-school faculty roles. At ETX, I later partnered closely with Human Resources on hiring, compensation, career pathways, performance issues, and organizational restructuring, balancing individual circumstances with staffing needs and institutional priorities.

Scheduling and Operations

My operations experience has required turning educational priorities into workable plans involving people, time, budgets, facilities, and technology. At Rancho Solano, I coordinated the transition to a new shared campus while integrating middle and upper school communities and launching residential systems. At ETX, I manage interconnected workstreams, staffing plans, budgets, deadlines, and resources across a complex educational portfolio.

Cross-Campus Partnership

I learned early in boarding schools that academic and student life cannot operate as separate systems. As Dean of Students and Residential Life Director, I worked across academics, admissions, athletics, facilities, dining, residential faculty, students, and families. My later work extended that collaborative approach across universities, schools, and external partners, reinforcing my belief that strong educational communities depend on relationships that cross organizational boundaries.
